Feature Ideas
Submit IdeaTidy Integration with Square Payment Gateway and POS
We're proposing a new feature integration with Square payment gateway and Point of Sales (POS) system for Tidy. This would allow for seamless transactions and contact synchronisation, enhancing our operational efficiency and overall customer experience. Key Considerations: Transaction Sync: We aim to introduce real-time synchronization of transactions between Tidy and Square, contributing to better accuracy and effectiveness. Contact Sync: Matching transactions with contacts where possible will enable us to generate comprehensive customer profiles and strategize follow-up activities accordingly. Advanced CRM to POS Synergy: By aligning the integration with advanced CRM to POS dynamics (akin to platforms like Xero), we'll be able to deliver a superior user experience. Creation of Payment Logs: We plan to maintain detailed logs for each transaction. This addition will serve as a valuable tool for troubleshooting and auditing. Inventory Sync: To prevent resource mismanagement, we aim to sync inventories real-time between the two platforms. Subscription Management: We'll develop robust mechanisms for managing subscriptions, notably revolving around setup, recurring billing, and cancellations. Refund and Dispute Handling: Clear and firm protocols for managing refunds and disputes will be established, ensuring a smooth potential-issue resolution. Offline Mode: In case of offline services on Square or Tidy, our system will be designed to manage and sync once the connection is restored. Tax Compliance: Given varying regional taxation rules, our integration will adeptly handle differences and accurately apply the correct tax amounts. This feature integration promises to streamline operations, provide better financial visibility, and elevate our customer relationship management. We appreciate your ideas and feedback on this proposed addition!

Add Event tickets to Apple/Google Wallet
It would improve ticket management for events and make life simpler for our volunteers if tickets bought through TidyHQ could be added to Apple or Google Wallet.

Tags for Tasks
Save time by batching similar tasks together using labels. Youโll be able to pull up a list of all tasks with any given label in a matter of seconds. For example label all of the fundraising tasks, or governance tasks or game day tasks. These are different to project labels (events) as you can have multiple tags - a task might be involved with finances, governance and fundraising and also be part of a project. Expiry Date for Fields & Attachments
Some certs (e.g. a WWCC) might have an expiry date. It'd be neat if the system had a way to mark these things as expired and do something (e.g. prompt member to upload new one). This is sort-of possible today with one field for the scan of the cert, and another field for the expiry date. And Smart Groups can gate access based on the expiry date.

Invoice at checkout - option to set fixed due date rather than relative
Suppose we wanted to do bookings for a trip a bit over half a year away - with tickets about $500 per person. Invoicing is desirable for this due to timeframe and ticket cost - we don't need final numbers & payment until say 2 months out, but would like to start taking registrations immediately. Ideally we'd be able to say "all invoices are due on X date next year" (which might be the same day ticket sales close, or maybe a week before to allow for last minute registrations following cancellations). Presently we can extend the 60-day invoices on request, or process registration fully manually.

"Historical record" flag on the membership bulk importer
When importing past membership data (members who were active in previous years but may or may not be current) the importer currently creates live records that feed into renewal reminders, payment history, and membership status logic. This makes historical data migration risky: importing a 1990โ91 membership record for someone who is also an active member today can interfere with their current renewal cycle. Thanks to Joel Solak at Pipe Bands Australia for raising this one. A simple "this is a historical record" checkbox on the bulk import wizard would fix this. Memberships imported with that flag set would be stored for reference, visible on the contact profile and included in exports. But they would not create payment records, trigger renewal or expiry emails, or count toward current membership status. This would make it safe to import decades of archival data (in multiple passes) without touching live membership logic.

Customisable subject line on the website contact form
When a visitor submits the contact form, the organisation receives an email with the hardcoded subject "Message from TidyHQ contact form" โ regardless of what the enquiry is about. For organisations receiving a mix of membership questions, event queries, and general enquiries, every message looks identical until opened, making it hard to triage or route to the right person. It would help to have an optional Subject field on the contact form that visitors can fill in, with the subject then appearing in the notification email. Admins could enable or disable the field in their form settings, and choose whether it's required or optional. This would bring the contact form in line with the flexibility already available on membership and event forms.

Render URLs stored in custom field values as clickable hyperlinks.
It would greatly improve the user experience if TidyHQ could automatically detect valid URLs in custom field values and display them as clickable hyperlinks on both the member profile and the administrator contact page. Instead of displaying plain text, TidyHQ could show it as a clickable link or an Open Link button. This would make it much easier for members to access external resources while keeping the flexibility of custom fields.

Discount Codes โข Events, Shop, Memberships
Allow for discount codes to be handed out and used to discount some items for event tickets, memberships or shop items. Apply a promotion code: Give your customers a discount by pre-applying a promotion code. If the promo code expires, the payment link will keep working without the discount.

Photo Gallery Option - Page
Being able to upload bulk photos to a Gallery or slideshow would be great rather than having to add each one as an image to a webpage

Separate/Private Inboxes for Each Role
"Our organisation is large and we deal with a number of commercial clients. We need separate or private inboxes for roles in our organisation as much of the communication that we send or receive in these roles is private or confidential information and thus cannot be shared with the entire committee. Private Inboxes are very hard because of the nature of a committee and the handover required. Outlining how the eventual handover could happen for your organisation is critical for us to know and build out a great solution for you. Please add your comments and scenario below for handover etc

'Or; filter
Advanced filtering needs an 'or' option. Filter X OR Y OR Z etc etc. Can't believe it is not part of the product.

Ability to search emails
There isn't an easy way in the interface to search for a specific email or subject or text within the email. The best you can do is use the CMD+F browser find/search functionality but this often isn't useful if you have pages of emails or years of history. Example being with a club who had to find all correspondence to do with a specific member and spent quite a few hours going through everything page by page.

Have TidyHQ & Stripe Fees Show as Expense
For the Finance pages to be really useable the income should be listed as what is charged to the members etc. and the TidyHQ Fee & Stripe (or other) transaction fees should list as an expense. - I understand why this is not done currently but it is not correct from a reporting point of view.

being able to sign meeting minutes
Can you please look at a way to sign off minutes. We have a rule here that minutes need to be reviewed by the Chair and electronically signed before lodging with OFT.
